Day 1 Welcome to Uganda
- You will be picked up from the airport by a representative from Big cat Tour and Travel. He will transfer you to your hotel.
- Depending on the time of your arrival, you might be able to explore Entebbe.
- All activities today are at your own cost.
- Overnight at The Sanctum hotel.
Day 2 To Murchison Falls National Park
Today you continue your journey by crossing to the west of the country to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive towards your lodge on the southern bank of the Nile. You will be staying at Murchison River lodge. The lodge overlooks the River Nile.
Day 3 Murchison Falls National Park
You wake up early for early breakfast and morning game drive to explore the north part of the park. Opportunities to view more game in the morning are high.
You will be able to view animals like: Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, different species of Antelope and many tropical birds may also be spotted during the game drive.
After the game drive, you will have a hot lunch at the lodge/camp.
You will take a boat safari/tour up the Nile River to Murchison Falls in the afternoon. Expect to see Crocodiles, Hippos, Buffaloes, Water birds and all the other wildlife around the Nile. You will reach the base of the 43-meter high falls which approach with a thunderous sound.
Return back to your comfortable lodge, to enjoy a good meal and enjoy the views.

Day 4 Boat Safari on the Delta
The Nile Delta is the area where the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. A boat safari down the river towards Lake Albert is ideal for bird watching because the banks of the delta are home to many bird species including the rare shoebill stork. You will also see Hippos, Elephants and Crocs!
OPTIONAL: You can go for an afternoon game drive on the park, or you can relax a bit at the lodge.

Day 5 To Fort Portal & Kibale Forest National Park
Today you will begin your journey to Kibale Forest N.P. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the green countryside which makes up so much of Uganda.
After about seven hours’ driving, you stop for lunch at Gardens restaurant in Fort Portal. After lunch, you have time to walk around town, observe local life.

Day 6 Chimpanzee Tracking & Swamp Walk
This day, you will go chimp tracking. Kibale Forest National Park has many primate species, most prominate, the chimpanzees.
An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning, you might also see other monkey species that live here. Since they are wild animals, we can never guarantee you to see them and might have to settle with hearing their hoots and hollers.
Your swamp walk (2-3 hours) will take you through grassland, small communities and some beautiful scenery, where the locals are likely to greet you with enthusiastic waves. The possibility of spotting three to four different primate species during this walk is high, you can catch a glimpse of the great blue turaco.

Day 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park Boat Tour
You will have early breakfast, then continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has a lot of game like; Elephants, Uganda Kob , Warthog and Waterbuck. Lions are often sighted both in and at the entrance to the park.
You will have lunch at Engiri game lodge then proceed for the afternoon boat tour along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Albert.
Here, you will see a lot of hippos, as well as other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. Expect to see Buffalo, Crocodile, Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will be one of the highlights of your tour.Over night at Engiri game lodge and campsite. The lodge is located on a unique location, designed using handcraft local materials. Watch wildlife from your verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of Lions in the distant savannah.
You will have lunch at Engiri game lodge then proceed for the afternoon boat tour along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Albert.

Day 9 Ishasha Area to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast you will proceed to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park called Ishasha area.
Ishahsa is home to the famous tree-climbing lions. The adult lions in Ishasha are an exceptional. It is believed that they sit in the branches to get away from the tsetse flies. You might spot a few during your game drive .

Day 10 Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
This day you will get an early breakfast, then prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s mountain gorilla. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. The gorillas you track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day.

Day 11 Batwa Trail
After your breakfast, you will meet the Batwa community. The Batwa are Uganda’s traditionally forest-dwelling pygmy people. About a century ago, there was a conflict between the Batwa and the Bantu speaking people in the region, because of this conflict the Batwa were forced to hide in Garama Cave. The cave is 342 meters in length and 14 meters deep, and is now only inhabited by bats, The walk to and from the cave passes through mountain woodland with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery or watch birds.
You will be driven back to the lodge (Buhoma community rest camp) after the walk.

Day 12 Lake Mburo National Park
After early breakfast, you will travel to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda’s smallest parks. It is one of two Ugandan national parks.

You will spend a night at Rwakobo Rock, a peaceful place with great views of the park.

Day 13 Bush Walk and Night Game Drive
This morning you will go for a bush walk after breakfast. It’s from footprints and animal droppings the ranger will be able to tell you which animal has left it. It is interesting to approach wildlife closely.
A night game drive in Lake Mburo national park is absolutely great! You have chances of seeing Hyena, different nocturnal animals. Your night safari is either just before dinner or just after dinner.

Day 14 L.Mburo to Entebbe.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive back to Entebbe (Airport) stopping at the equator for the requisite snapshot and a bit of souvenir shopping.
Optional: Over night at Sanctum motel if your flight is the following day.
If you wish to depart tonight from Entebbe Airport, let us know so that we drive you to the airport on time.

13 nights accommodation per person sharing, park fee , supporting tour leader, , vehicle with driver, excursions described in the program including one boat trip, game drive, chimpanzee and gorilla permits and the drinking water . If you want a room “single,” you need to report and pay a small extra fee .Personal expenses, insurance, international flights, visa for Uganda or any other administrative fees charged by the Embassy of Uganda are not included (check with the embassy if the yellow fever vaccination is required or not – it varies depending on the situation and country of origin).Apart from the legal requirements, you can opt for other vaccinations – see your doctor or a competent authority in the matter.
In general, note that the level of security at the accommodation is excellent in all respects (diseases, accidents with animals and travelers with petty crime are very rare).Having a constant driver with the vehicle, the risks of theft are virtually nil – just carry all your belongings in the hotel rooms (which are very safe) with you for the night.Please bring:

- Possibly also spotting scope
- Camera (enjoy the beautiful light after the rainy season in Uganda) according to your wishes, any camera of any size of zoom for animals and large birds that are often seen near.
- Your travel documents: passport, visa, certification of vaccination, insurance, etc
- Your personal medication
- Lightweight and comfortable clothing, sandals or flip flops to stay in the car or on the boat and walking shoes for the forest. Long-sleeved shirts are more reassuring to forest areas.
- Provide a sweater for mornings which can be cold.
The bookings with the hotels mentioned in the program depend on availability. Reservations will only be made after your booking.
Note; In case the mentioned hotels are not available during the requested period, we will make sure to book a hotel in the same class for you. We do this after consulting you. It is not possible to ‘reserve’ gorilla and chimpanzee permits. Therefore we can only buy them after your booking and down-payment. This also here it all depends on availability.
