The park is located in northwestern part of Uganda. It derives its name from Murchison falls water fall where the mighty Nile explodes through the narrow gorge and flows down to become placid river.
The park has over 75 species of mammals including four of the big five such as elephant, lion, leopard and buffaloes. It also has many bird species, primates.
Some activities in this park include boat rides, bungee jumping, white water rafting all on the Nile, visiting Kaniyo-Pabidi forest, village walk in Mubako village.
